Hello,
I am a newbie to this forum but not to aftermarket car enhancements.
I have seen a lot of folks looking for performance options for our solaras. Everyone should check out www.ststurbo.com. They nave some sweet products and I am positive the custom set-up is def. doable on our rides. The gains in small boost levels are incredible. I have some questions in now about the size of turbo for the V6 solara. I'll post the replies from their R&D guys.

Not a flame, or shootdown, there has been a lot of mystique when it comes to forced induction, other than the TRD supercharger.

A turbo kit is doeable, but in order to further increase the reliability of the 1MZ, you would have to undergo a rebuild on the internals with forged pistons, and such.

Given the fact that the SC is no longer being made (for some time now), a turbo is the way to go, but IMHO, it's not cost efficient, unless you have the $$$$ laying around.

I'd say that looking into this is awesome, you might be another pioneer on the subject, but at the moment, Greg's 1MZ/3MZ hybrid will net you some gains on a N/A engine, without forced induction.... OK, maybe not 150HP over stock, but a nice, reliable, and efficient 50-75HP on the conservative side.... my 2 pennies ;)

Good lookup though!
Geeks get it done, while Nerds whimper and call for mommie.

research research research. I thought about it. It could actually be cheaper than a front mount set up, but i'd rather keep it up front. Piece together your own kit.
