Noise of TRD swaybar vs. Stock

Just curious as to why I have to keep greasing my swaybar about every 6 months to stop it from creaking vs. not having to grease my stock swaybar at all when I had that on? This is starting to get old lol

What kind of grease you using on the sway bar?

If possible, I would definitely take it off, apply Teflon tape, and use marine grease on it as well. Hopefully that should cut down on your re-greasing frequency.

It's cause OEM uses rubber, and the one for the TRD RSB is poly.
You can wrap your RSB wit teflon tape, and then use White Lithium grease.

I put a layer of grease around the bar, then teflon taped around that, and then re-greased around the tape...I haven't heard any squeaking in over a year.

The lube that came with the bar don't last long, after two years of hearing that squeaking noise, I relubed the bar (about two years ago) with a can of grease made by mobil (it is red in color) and it hasn't squeaked till this day.

If you use a good grease you don't have to relube that often.

Ive used, lithium grease, silicon grease, and even some industrial machine grease from work and all three have resorted back to creaking. I guess I will try the teflon tape. Im actually afraid of taking the thing off now because last time I did that I broke the bolts because they rusted through on the other side. I had to buy an all new bracket because I couldn't drill and tape it out. You can see how this has become a pain in my a$$ lately.

^^Only on the part of the swaybar where it touches the Bushings.

For more than a year now I have had luck with teflon paste from the plumbing section of the hardware store no squeak and no tape to mess with.
