Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself.

I just purchased a used 2002 Solara SE, Silver 4cyl w/auto trans. Needs some work, but I got a great deal on it and have "connections" :sweet:

A little about me. I was a Toyota Parts Salesman for 10 years, the last three of those was as Parts Manager at Toyota of Slidell (about 30 miles northeast of New Orleans). (Now you know how I have connections... :wink: )

As I said, it needs some work and I knew it when I bought it. Brought it to my old dealership before I purchased it and had the Master Tech look at it just to make sure it didn't neet a whole new motor and could get by with a rebuild. He pulled the valve cover and sure enough, SLUDGE, but not bad enough to require a new motor. I'm bringing it back to him this upcoming Monday and he'll tear it down, clean it up and put it all back together for me for a sweet price.

I'm looking forward to talking with you all and hope to learn get ides of mods and adds to do to my new commuter car...
