Postby solara90 » Sun Oct 11, 2009 3:57 pm

so my throttle body has seen better days and is giving me some issues.

A. I cant find any aftermarket ones for the solara or scion tc

B. All the new ones are about $650.00 and i dont want to pay that much

C. I can find many used ones on ebay for about $150.00 but i have second thoughts about that

What are your opinions

How has your throttle body seen better days?

Also any decent performance TB will be at least 150 to 300.

I've been told that to be able do twin turbo's, you have to have a twin cam engine...

whoever told you that needs to get as far away from a car as possible. You don't need a twin cam engine to run twin turbos....but in case you're thinking of trying that, twins on a 4 cyl = pointless

Here is a twin turbo kit for a Mustang GT, which has a SOHC V8:

--------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know any twin turbo kits for our 2AZ engine but there are many single turbo kits made for the Scion TC which you can put in your Solara with modifications.

^^ That kit is nice. You think I could find one for a 1MZ?

wkbrdr91 you might want to do a little reading in the forced induction section.
