well i put my new master cylinder in and now my brake light came on, is it a bad master cylinder? i did reattach the sensor wire

it was full, didnt make it go off, never use my parking brake either, and i didnt set it either, so that can be it

ah, i also started the car before it was hooked up.. i forgot to but i plugged it right away.. would that be why?

yeah see if you can't clear the code with either a scan tool (best option b/c you can see why it is showing) or pull the negative on the battery. If it comes back then you have a problem.

I assume you fully bleed the cylinder? I believe it needs to be bleed separately from the lines.

maybe a stupid thing....but have you checked the brake lights.

One time i had the same problem ...my 3th brake light was broken. :roll:
