It depends on what is wrong.
If the clutch pedal is improperly adjusted, it will be very cheap.
If the clutch line is just low on fluid, then it will be cheap.
If the clutch slave cylinder is broken then it will be relatively cheap.
If the clutch master cylinder is broken, then it will not be too bad.
If it is the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing then it will be somewhat expensive.
If it is in the transmission then it will be very expensive.
Once you throw in labor or more than one of these repairs it will be extremely expensive.
If it were me doing it, it probably wouldn't be too bad, because at worst all I would have to do is replace the transmission. Since it is the same transmission that came in the 91+ vintage MR2's there must be some around somewhere.
You need to find out why it isn't shifting to determine this answer. Plus, of course, where you take it to be done will effect the price.
I can tell you that my Corolla transmission will go into gear with the car off, WITHOUT pressing in the clutch. So it's kind of sounding like the tranny to me. I presume the Solara does the same. I can't tell you for sure since in my family the Solara belongs to my wife and I can't say that I've ever tried to put it in gear without stepping on the clutch.
Good luck.
