1mz-fe spark plug question

Hi guys I recently went against my better judgement and installed some ngk iridium spark plugs on the advice of the kragen parts manager. I figure there must be a reason why toyota stressed the importance of only using twin ground platinum plugs, however it seems to be running fine. Fine, but not quite as good Id say as it was when running the stock densos. It may be in my head, I dunno, do any of you have similar experiences and or info that might help me? Should they stay or should they go?

Aww chit don't say that. I'm about to install some IK20's. Did you install yourself? Did you replace the wires too?

yeah the dealer weanted $200 to change them,
I just followed the tutorial on here took about an hour my right hand is a little cut up. I didnt change the wires, and wouldnt unless one was wasted. Ive seen the replacement sets and they pale in comparison to the oem equiptment.

I believe the reason Toyota wanted the Double tipped platinum is because they last longer, thus having someone change them in the way our engine is mounted , transverse...isnt having to do them every 30-40k

I know the Denso's I bought are good for 100k

I've also got NGK Iridium IX, zero problems so far. Had BOSCH 4's in before, they also worked great for me.

I used the bosch platinum +4 before I went boost (I now have ik22's) and my car ran beautifully actually....

I still don't see what's wrong with the bosch ones even though they're not recommended

I've heard a lot of stories about Bosch plugs not getting along with Toyota engines. The NGKs are supposed to be pretty good, but I'm not looking forward to changing them out (I'm just shy of 60k on my car and know I need to replace them).
