Check Engine light just came on

My Check Engine light just came on the other day, so I took it to Advanced Auto Parts to check the code. It reads P0446: EVAP Emission Control System Vent Circuit Malf. Does anyone know what this is or how easy it is to fix? Is it just an O2 sensor?

Check and make sure your gas cap is fully tight meaning at least 3 clicks. It could be your gas cap or the charcoal cannister. But start out with the cap and check for cracked or loose hoses. And make sure you reset the light by taking out the negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes.

I would say No to it being your gas cap that is usually po441 what you have is either a bad charcoal canister or vsv valve on top of the charcoal canister both common problems. The vsv valve ran me about 220 and they told me about 370 if I had needed the canister.

If this is the first time your CEL is on, i wouldnt worry too much about it, unless it becomes something that doesn't turn off. My cel came on and well I popped a similar question - esp since it went away when i parked the car. It happened to do be something with my battery?? (go figure).
