i know, im planning on getting the v6 complete with everything including harness and trani, now besides that what i need? are the mounts are the same

if ur looking to do a 1mzauto its REALLY easy.

put the 4cyl for sale, buy one of the million other auto v6's out there.
are avalons supposed to be this fast?

Or get a master mechanic to do it, maybe talk to Gabe to get you a wicked 1MZ! and maybe hire someone from the forum to do it, lol idk im just tossing you ideas right now! Good luck!

^^^ this would be the easiest route. Trust me, save you all your money swapping it and your time.

You can do it but you need to be mechanically inclined as it is a VERY big job. I did the same thing with an '85 Ranger but on top of swapping to a V6 from a 4 cyl I also made it into a 4x4 from a 2wd.
It would be good if you had a donor car to take parts from as there are always little things you will need from it and before you start it's good to take many, many pictures from all angles so you can refer back when needed.

i do all of my work on my solara and on top of that i work at prestige imports as a mech. i just need to know what i need to buy and whats needed, so i can be ready and prepared for whats coming ahead

in miami my car is rare...i called a junk yard and most of them dont even know wtf is a solara, and if i find one its strip or too new
