the bank 2 knock sensor is on the radiator side of the block under the intake manifold, which is under the intake plenum

You are correct.

get a gasket kit and coolant hose to replace the big one you have to remove. Also you may just want to consider replacing both. I got mine for $126 each at advance autoparts and there were the same denso ones toyota uses.

I would also get a few cans of TB cleaner and clean the intake manifold and throttlebody.

Alright that makes more sense, it being a v6... Why does it have to be the one on the back haha. Such a bugger. Is the one on the front on the side down by the pullys?

I know I saw something about that somewhere. I think im going to look into that, as this seems to be a common problem.. btw I'm not blown.. yet. Still hunting for a trd supercharger.

That are both in the same spot, and you need to take 100% of the SAME parts off to change either.

I'd recommend getting a new Knock Sensor harness at the dealer for about $30 in case the connectors on your current one brakes.

Il have to find someone to make me a custom bracket like that...

put it back on the scan tool today to find the other codes, and i have 5 others, they don't look so bad though

P0330 - KNOCK SENSOR BANK 2
P0440 - EVAP EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM MALF
P0441 - EVAP PURGE FLOW FAULT
P0446 - EVAP EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM VENT CIRCUIT MALF

and then i got two repeat codes that had 'pd' beside them
p0441
p0446

So I wrote them down and cleared them all, and now the car works a lot better, no more stuttering above 4k which i was getting intermittently. Im assuming thats the knock sensor fault causing it.

( I am praying and hoping that since its intermittent that its just loose. Currently trying to find out if I can get at it without taking the intake mani off. It would help if i knew what side it was on lol. )

Bad news is that I cant get a knock sensor until Next Thursday and it will be over 200$

now im also wondering about the P0440 – EVAP System Malfunction and the other three, there all related.

I found common causes to be
· Vapor pressure sensor malfunction
· Fuel tank cap cracked, damaged or incorrectly installed
· Vacuum hose blocked, cracked, torn or disconnected
· Hose or tube blocked, cracked, torn or disconnected
· Fuel tank damaged
· Charcoal canister damaged

Where is the vacuum hose or the tube that its talking about. The car had the tank and the lines replaced a while ago and thats probably when this one came up..
