Draining clutch fluid?

Draining clutch fluid?

Postby dMiZe » Tue Mar 03, 2009 2:27 pm

Hey sup guys,
So I've been searching and searching for tutorials on how to drain my clutch fluid on my 99 SE (5speed). I haven't found anything that says how to drain the fluid. I've found some threads on people having similar problems as me (clutch pedal stays down when depressing), but nothing on how to drain the clutch fluid. Can anyone help me out on how to do it and about how much fluid I'll need? I've got one of those little bottles of STP brake fluid, but am not sure if that's enough. Thanks in advance guys.

I would get a big bottle. Then I would crack open the bleeder screw on the front of the engine a pump all the fluid out with the help of a friend. I used a shop vac, vacuum hose and a turkey baster to make a nice suction machine. Then I just kept dumping in new fluid until it comes out clear do this while a friend pumps the pedal. Here is a totally sweet ms paint picture.
