I know there are already numerous posts on here about changing your fuel filter, however I cant get mine off. i actually asked a mechanic who said sometimes they have to replace the whole fuel line because they cant get it off. what is the absolute best method to get this thing lose without breaking my fuel line?

my car is experiencing this EXACT issue, bolt on bottom of filter is stuck and mechanic said new fuel line from filter back to firewall was needed.

well, mine was like this too, u need two wrenches to get this crap really off, its siezed on there if u didnt change ur filter for a while. But i got it off.

Some people, like midias who did have to change the line, have a write up on how to change the fuel line urself...thats why i said wait for midias to post since he has the links/info.

Hope it will be worth the wait I had the same problem and below is how I fixed it. Now approx 7 months later no leaks and no problems.
