Cali spec to NON cali spec change.

SO as most of you have read in my threads and know well that my car is a Cali spec car in NJ....yea, i dono how.

well, i have the headers and the ypipe off of a 2000 Camry v6, its pretty much the same thing as the non cali spec setup solara.

I put the car on a lift today and checked if the ypipe would fit the rear header withought replacing it, turns out the CALI spec ypipe has its "rear" header pre-cat on the ypipe, so i would not have to change out the rear header, just the front one.

SO if i slap all that crap on, my question is, will i pass emissions and will i get a CEL?

I just called a toyota near my area, he said the non cali spec and cali spec cars have diffrent onboard computers..(im assuming the ECU)... and said most likely i would throw a Check engine light since the parameters wont add up.

anyone disagree?

Well, I know a member here, GregTRD, has a Camry that had the Cali spec headers. He swapped them out and I don't recall him saying that he got a CEL. I have a set of non-Cali headers if you want to make me an offer....
That's funny, your car is Cali-spec in NJ and my car is federal-spec in Cali??

My car is Cali spec and I purchased it in New York. Go figure. But really, what are we talking about here, 2 hp? Maybe a little more because you're boosted?

2hp? the pre-cats really choke the performance on the Dyno.

I know that my dyno Graph was real stupid before, but i never mentioned that i was running 2.5psi, now that i have a new pulley thanks to Greg (Paladin), im running a good 4 to 4.5psi.

@ 2.5psi my car performed 174whp and 185torque after tune. (the car when it came right into the dyno shop, and then had the ecu reset (while installing the safcII) on no tune, ran 166whp and 177torque.

Well i dono what to do really rite now, i have a Dyno Tune set for Tuesday by the same shop because of my "upped" boost.

and then ill take care of this damn ypipe situation.

here's a pic of the dyno results, oh and by the way, after the tune, the A/F is 11.8:1, the graph doesnt show this but the guy said its because of the correction from sensor and wat not.

I would go for it the worst that can happen is a CEL but you can fix that with a 02 sim or a anti fowler.
