Postby Ruski » Tue Jan 23, 2007 1:28 pm

well i have a 00 solara with 81k on it. For the past year i had my check engine on. Codes P0441 P0446 P0440. i have reset it multiple times each time it comes back. So far i have replaced gas cap Nothing. i have read some stuff about the VSV valve and the Charcoal canister.. Any advice or suggestions will be helpful.. I'm a Student so don't have $$ to spend on random guesses on what can fix it.
Thanks in advance

if you have a 4cyl it is porbably not the problem

If you have a V6 is is under the rear of the car. Get a shop manual to learn diagnostics.

theres no where near enough details here to form an accurate solution, and no you cant clean charcoal canisters and they rarely fail. Have someone diagnose your car instead of throwing money at it guessing the problem. I can help you out more if you'd like, pm me.
