What do you guys use to hold coins in the car?

Anyone know WHY they keep taking the coinholders out? It was on the Gen1 Solara, but its gone in the Gen2. Also I think it was on the RX300, but there was no coinholder on the new RX330. Whats goin on here? Is it just toyota or is everyone phasing them out?

unless you need coins other than quarters, i would say just have a film canister for quarters kept in the upper driverside compartment. other change can be kept in another film canister with markings to distinguish it. as of why they got rid of it, i have no idea and it is suprising as makes me wonder what their reason was with taking it out

I can totaly understand taking away the ashtray and the cig lighter, especially since I quit smoking, but even an ashtray would come in handy about now to hold coins. So the Gen 1's have em huh? Hmmm

I thought about just getting a little coin pouch and sticking it in the little compartment under the stereo head unit.

Did anyone find a good solution? I was going to take the coin holder out of my current ride and take it with me. Maybe use some velcro to hold it in place.

Here is another weird item. My wifes 2004 had the first aid kit option added, and my boss bought a 2005 Highlander with First Aid and Road Side emergency kit added. My 2006 comes with neither.

Lucky for me I already bought them both for my outgoing 2003 Sequoia.

It was on the underside of the dash either to the right or left of the steering wheel. It was a pulldown drawer that snapped up in place.

Didn't it only come in the SLE? I don't have it in my SE, I use the ashtray.
