i'm unhappy with the uneveness of the drop with Eibachs in the front since i have a lighter 5s-fe. i'm considering switching it up to Teins for a lower drop but would like to see if it's really worth the extra bills...

fender gap in the front is not much narrower than stock.

I thought Eibachs gave an uneven drop with the 1MZ as well. I never really thought about engine weight, but Id be interested too, since I plan to get tiens in the future.

How long have your springs been on for? (did you have time for springs to settle...cus' it looks lower a few weeks after the first install..ie. after the springs have settled). And besides...i think it was SBCelica (adrian) who mentioned that the imz was very close to weight to the 5s cus of its all aluminium stuff...By the way, Adrian is the dude who swapped the imz into his 5th gen celica (that was the first question i asked him...engine weight).

THe 1MZ and 5S weight difference is only about 100 lbs.

The 1MZ and 2AZ difference is about 250-300
1GR-FE ftw!

i've had the eibachs on for about 8 months so they've definitely settled by now...according to eibach i think the front drop should've been 1.6" which just didn't seem to happen so i thought it was engine weight, but 100lbs diff really isn't as much as i thought.

teins advertises a 1.6" too so i'm a bit skeptical.

hopefully someone here has teins on a 5s :o

Just get the tein's bro. It will look better then what you got either way. Shoot might as well go for some coilovers. I wish I would have had the patience to get some coilovers to get more drop like Jeff's ride.

100 - 150 lb ain't nothing so it's gona have about the same look. The weight diff is mostly in the front as it's the extra 2 cylinders that give the extra weight. The rest is exactly the same. (Except for maybee disk vs. drums) but still same deal.

Your looking at spending money on the springs which ain't that much and installation unless you got the hookup or can DIY.

My next suspension will be coilovers if I ever replace my springs. Most definatly.

i wish i had that sorta scratch too! i really considered getting some CO instead of upgrading to 18s a month ago...but i went with the wheels instead...the sacrifices... :-?

at this rate perhaps i'll be the first on the boards to have Teins on a 5sfe...not that there are many 5s around to begin with
