I think the purple on the gauges are a little much, but I like the vents. Props for creativity

Im not sure if its the exposure, but it looks like the vents, clock, A/C and Defrost buttons are all the same color. Are those bulbs sharpied red?

Also, what did you use for the vent? It looks like a 6" cathode, but Im not sure.

I like the style and effort, but I just dont like how purple and red go together. Maybe a yellow, green, or white with the purple. Or a blue or white with the red.

Neons is nice in moderation tho....

Good job, great creativity. I'm also not so crazy with the colors.

I like it. I bet that gauge cluster looks sick in person with the UV light. All you need now is a red headunit. Keep up the good work Josh.

Thanks ppl! My camera picked up a lot of glare of the cluster. You know you just can't take a picture of a light and have it turn out exactly how you see it. I also used the reflective cover to shield it from my eyes. But I actually see more of the red uv paint that's on the needles and the bezel than I see the purple light. My intention was to make the cluster brighter by making it glow with uv light and paint. As you see the needles are glowing and my headlights are off in that pic. I'll try to take some better pics with some light.

Actually I've been replacing bulbs with red led's. There are led's in the vents, behind the A/C button, the ignition, the Cig Lighter, and the Ash Tray. The only ones I have sharpied are the 2 hvac lights and the defrost button. Some time I will get to changing the hvac lights with led's, but this will be a time taking project as I will have to use 4 led's in strategic places. I bought led's and resistors and I do all my own wiring. I'm loving my led's! The only neons I have are under my dash on both sides.

Ha! I just realized your center console looks like a robot's face. Also, when I look at your car's interior, I see a fire burning under your dash! Like there is some devil beast for an engine. :evilbat: Way cool!!!

Im taking another look, and I really like some elements of the center console Im digging for more details now. Only one of the stock ones im really having a problem with is the cig lighter and AC/Defrost buttons. I see you sharpied the buttons, so I guess theres no easier route for that, but the cig lighter bulb size didnt seem standard, so I was wondering how you mounted the LED. Also, id also like to know how you mounted the vent LEDs.

BTW, I know how UV is really hard to photograph. Depending on what camera and what exposure you use, it can come out anywhere from really dim blue to really bright purple, like there. Im sure it looks nothing like that in person. I thought it was acutally a purple neon at first, which was what made me think it looked wack. Im sure the UV looks really good in person.

Thanks man. First I had to take off the door panel to remove the mirror (for the other door too). Then remove the mirror housing. There is a little notch in the lower part just big enough (with force) to fit a 5mm led thru it. Positioned the led so that the main focus is at the far end. No modding or cutting necessary. Then I put everything back together and wired it to my turn signals. A good 2 hour project (total). I could do it faster if I did it again tho. Now that I have the steps in my head.
