PRESTIGE APS996A [2 WAY PAGING/REMOTE START]

Just got my PRESTIGE APS996A [2 WAY PAGING/REMOTE START] alarm installed with some custom feature for multiple vehicle capable Remote window roll up. The alarm has a range between 1000 to 1400 feet. Remote start is nice as well. Active passive lock. That's just to name a few of it's options. My favorite feature is the 2 way paging LCD remote.

Below is a link listing all of the features.

It took me two days to figure out how to use the trunk release. I was so frustrated in having to unlock the car and manually pull the trunk release lever. :drinking: The installer was not there when I had the car picked up and so it was like getting a new toy and trying to figure out all of the features. I've got it down now...lol

Hey, just a quick question.

I was going to get a similar alarm for my car, but my hookup just told me that the shop had problems installing on a 04 solara, and they aren't looking forward to doing it again. I got another quote for $550, and was wondering if that's a good price... how much did you get yours for?

My friend has that, it's really nice. He installed it all himself because he works with car audio all the time. I would get it.. but I already have the stock toyota alarm which is great for me. Looks great though

So, your SLE has shock sensor alarm??? I've got the V6 sport and I thought the factory only comes with keyless entry, trunk release, panic and the starter disable.

Michael,
You are correct. The stock SLE alarm does not have shock sensor which is an extra expensive option. The stock is good enough for me though.

That's what I thought, I wished the stock had shock sensor, then I wouldn't haven't gotten the aftermarket alarm. O well, I'm still luvin all da features, they're gonna finish up my alarm system this week. One of the relay device had to be back ordered. I wanted the roll up and down feature without having the keys in the car.

whoa, does it play mp3's ? ... jp

that real tite though. next thing you know you can get a little remote with a little steering wheel on it, and drive your car around empty parking lots.... and then it'll short circuit and hit wide open throttle and have a mind of its own .... and then it will have to roll up to a bunch of gas stations and panhandle for some gas... and then some guy will try to jump inside and hotwire it, and then your alarm will go off, and your little pager will be like "Help... HELP Meeee!!!" sry, im bored (&sober)
