Yeah, dont skimp on tires. But just ask for good tires on your set you get. Go to tirerack.com and check out the reviews on the tires. They can help.

Check out the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S tires. It has superb reviews from www.tirerack.com. Very high remarks. And the treadwear is excellent for Z rated tire, 400 UTQG Traction AA and Temperature A, pretty awesome. And it's pretty cheap too! 225/45/17 for about 123 bucks. It's definitely my next set of tires! Currently I'm on my second set of Nitto Extreme 450 and they are great too. Do not get Toyo FZ4! It sucks and it's noisy! IMHO.

I have Sumitomo HTR+ rubber on my 17's and I am happy with them. They are all season ultra high perf. tires since I drive in both florida and new york. No longer new york since I just graduated college - my next tires will def be summer tires. If you need all season vesatility with solid dry weather grip, this is the way to go. At $71 each (tirerack special!) they are a steal.

I just got mines from wheelsnext. They offer great package specials with Nankang NS2's. Not the greatest tires in the world but they do the job, quiet, and long tread life. The service was pretty decent and they offer 3 year insurance for 125.00 more.

In setting up the tire and wheel, the time and temperature should be given a significant concern in its design since tire inflation pressures changes. If you were to check your tires only every six months, it would not be uncommon to find them under inflated by as much as 6 psi. Tire inflation pressures also fluctuate with changes in the outside air temperature. This occurs at a rate of about 1 psi for every 10°F (plus or minus). So the tires you set correctly with an 80°F ambient temperature will be under inflated by 6 psi at 20°F.

Try discounttire.com and ebay (if you know exact size of the wheels that you are looking for).
