Just curious to see if anyone has had any parts replaced? Also has any of the noises been fixed from the left front speaker back to the rear suspension?

This past Saturday I had my CD player replaced, the first one was defective, but now that I have the new one, I like it much better. Haven't had anything else replaced. I don't have any squeeking, but it does kinda sound like I have an air leak somewhere, kinda like the same sound it makes when you're missing an exhaust bolt, almost a tapping sound?

Yeah, it's a tapping sound in the rear suspension area.

Postby twincepts » Tue Jun 01, 2004 1:44 pm

Two weeks ago, I had the dealer change the side plate of the front door, oil the sunroof hinges, and fix my crusie control because the cruise control light remined on and it did not work...yeah, I know, all this repair already...aahhh!

My sunroof needs an oiling or lubing bad. Evertime it is hot, it makes this noise like rubber just rubbing or something that just needs lubing. I'll have that taken care of at my oil change.

My sunroof makes a horrible rubbing noise when I tilt it up or open it. Started once the weather got warmer.

I will be taking mine in tomorrow morning for the GPS reception problem... basically, there is none... Here's hoping it's just a loose antenna connection...

Same here man. It's almost like something is loose and it is just rattling. I'll have that checked out soon.

Next time I'm at the dealer I'll have the following looked at:

-Intermittent rattle on driver's side dash
-Rattle behind glove compartment
-Rattle somewhere on the driver's side, behind the door (only hear it when I first accelerate from a stop)
-Noisy sunroof (needs lube, I guess)

Also, the faux wood trim pieces and the black plastic cover above the center air vents on the dash make a cracking noise. I can push on the pieces and hear the same noise so it may be a matter of just adding foam behind each piece. Do any of you have the same problem?

Really don't want a dealer tearing my car apart so I may try to fix some of the problems. Foam padding has been my best friend with this car.

First year cars are fun when it comes to noises!

i'm having my oil changed sometime soon and i'm going to have my left drift fixed. as far as rattling i have none.... actually i did at one time and i thought it was my right dash speaker, but it was my gate card in my sunglasses holder it seriously sounded like i blew the speaker, cuz when the bass would thump it rattled and one day i was driving with the stereo off for whatever reason and i heard the same noise when i went over a bump, and OMG i'm a retard! it was just my card in my sunglasses holder.

anywho... my dealler just ordered a trd airfilter for me so that'll be in a week or two. and i'm going to get my oil changed to synthetic and the drift looked at within a week.

Just came back after my first oil change. Looks like the spare was alittle loose and may have been causing the rattling. We'll see. Also, I am having my sunroof motor replaced due to a rubber rubbing sound when opening it. Hope that does the trick.

Fixed!

Postby ifuinsyst » Fri Jun 30, 2006 11:47 am

Call me a baby, but as soon as I see/feel/hear a problem or anything outta whack I go to the dealer. I have learned that they will fix it right away because they dont want me back for the same issue. I have had the steering column replaced, passenger window track replaced and drivers side headlight replaced.

Just a tip for future reference. Under no circumstances bring up a thread from so long ago. If you want to start a new thread do so. If you want to bring up an old thread keep it under 3 months old.

Hm... where did this three month rule come from? Seems pretty arbitrary...
