I have a question about wiring the DVC on the jl 12w6 to my mono 4-ohm amplifire. How might I go about doing that?

It's gona be going solo in it's own box. So should i wire it in series or parallel? The amplifire is an audiobahn 400 rms mono amp.

doesn't matter if its tuned by shop or not.. if you have the amp set-up right you wont blow it.....

everyone knows if you keep the gain higher then the subs can handle its going to blow.. common sense.... esp. if you have a amp that has a higher rms then the subs.... jl w6v2 rms is 300rms each... its not alot of power but they still hit hard...

dont say i dunno crap about system... i know more crap then you think.. if i didn't know crap then how did i put my whole system together myself..

only think i had done was a shop tune it for my with a ohm metter

easy guys................ first off.. JL subs take more of a beating than any other sub on the market. Ive plugged a 10w04 into a wall for 10 minutes and it still didnt blow up. There are sooooo many things that can go wrong with a setup. Im not going to get into it. I tried once but i made it to number 50 and quit. ill post when my head is clear =0p

i didn't say i knew about your system or how it was set-up...

im just putting the point out that if tuned right that shouldn't happen.. if it happened to you fine... thats what happened...

But just cuz it happened to you doesn't mean they are bad products.... like your making it sound..

dont have to get mad over it..

my friend has seen blown W7s (3 sets) while his Eclipse only blew once... and he abuses like a mofo.

I don't know if the W7 person was overpowering the subs, but my friend is running the right power input

Lets say it's a 500 watt RMS w/ a 1000 watt RMS amp... wouldn't that contribute to blowing it if he runs higher volumes? (granted it probably would sound distorted)
