As of now, I have 2 amps that are working so i'm not touching them right now, and I have a 12w6 on the way to replace my current sub. However, my front speakers are still stock and my rears have a blown tweeter (and they're not hooked up). So my question is this.

I'm thinking of getting the polyglass 6.5 165v component speakers cause I heard they're high's are tremendous for rap. I want speakers that can produce a clean bass response to fill the gap between my 12" woofer, and 6.5 component set with a high-pass x-over on it.

Should I just concentrate that bass on the 6x9's (cause I will have 6x9's) so i could let the bass fade to the back?

No, Mid-bass is directional. You will be able to hear those tones coming from the back, in an ideal situation, we wouldnt have rears at all, but because of raod noise, engine noise, SUPERCHARGER WHINE =0) if your lucky, we have to have rears to fill the empty void, rear speakers should be 3-12dbs down to just fill in the level of sound. your front speakers should fill everything from 80-120hz and up depending on your sub set-up. With the W6's im windering if they are v2's or not. let me know.

oh yeah. talk about fun tuning,,, I remember it started with something like a subwoofer amp, and it turned into 2-channel stereo/sub tuning,, just gotta get those rears installed on the amp. When I get some focals i'm sure i'll be stoked.

Just a personal opinopn here, but the old school 12w6's have to be some of the most harmonic subs made. Dont get me wrong the new v2's are awesome. They definatly hit harder, but i think they lost a little bit of that accuracy they had with the heavier cone assambly.
