Super-easy replacement of a critical engine part you can do yourself!
Looking under the intake manifold from the passenger side you will see the little guy (refer to picture). Just unplug the old and plug in the new. Folks with superchargers may have a tougher time.

why did you have to replace yours and how much was it?

The PCV valve is just another part of regular preventative engine maintenance.
I replaced mine at 60k, but the part is so cheap ($4) that you can use an even shorter interval if you wish.

update: did my change. It's kinda tight in there with the S/C. I follow what the Haynes manual says and try checking for the valve performance. Turns out my old one is fine. But I replace it anyway =)
