i have that same one! honestly i had it. unless you buy a seperate EQ it sucks, imo. You can only control bass and trebile. and just boosts the signal to the amps, is what i was told. Im about to get a pioneer DEQ-7600, to make up for my shittty purchase.

Outside of the 2 band EQ, its a pretty good deck. It looks amazing, doesnt cost too much, plays MP3/WMAs. The display is untouchable in this price range. Also has 5V outputs, which you cant complain about. But I agree, its not too hot on SQ.

BTW, I think they heard how stiff the sound shaping is...the new Panasonic has a 7 band EQ and a 26w RMS/60w Max output...but they made the buttons uglier for some reason IMO. The high really expensive panasonic model has a 60w RMS output, a 9 band EQ, and HD radio capability built in.

i'm disappointed, b/c i'm bumpin 2 aluminum 12" DVC eclipses with a JBL BP1200.1 at 1-ohm. i heard running the jbl amps at 1 ohm isn't all that great; it was optimized for 2-ohm. still, even though they hit hard as hell, the quality of the sound overall ain't all that great.

what can i do to improve the sq? buy a signal conditioner?

I got mine from an ebay special from www.alkaplus.com.

I think it looks really good on tan, but Im not a big fan on the woodgrain on charcoal interior.
