LED Turn signals Front and Back

LED Turn signals Front and Back

Postby nguyenSTX » Sun May 09, 2004 6:59 pm

I just installed LEDS turn signals with resistors, so they blink at normal speeds but i still ran into a problem. When the headlights are on, the front blinker aren't very noticable. I'm thinking about putting in some Yellow leds (Street glow strobe bulbs) that only come on when the the blink is on. Another problem is i need bluer healights now :(

I just wanted to try LEDS to get a whiter color, i tried a few other hyper white bulps before but never looked white enough. I figure i'd keep them till i get pulled over and get a warning. Cops are more laxed here in Eugene then other places ive been. I got away with blue lisence plate lite for 8 months now. :D

Fog lights Nokya? Artic white (ebay)
headlights, some cheapos from an autopart store, they use to be bluer, now its faded to just white :-?

I had my LEDs on about 6 months ago, but it wasnt my taste... only left em on for 3 days

it is true about the dim lighting of the LEDs... since theyre LEDs and have a straight beam, it doesnt get reflected off the housing... so if you stand off to a side, you dont see the light :-?
Retired... its been fun Image

I bought the resistors @ superbrightleds.com
http://superbrightleds.com/

I've ordered form them twice and they got pretty fast shipping.
I cost $5 ea and $5 shipping so $25 for 4.

FYI i ended up taking out the LEDS in the front. :( The back red leds are coo so i kept those. [/url]
