[South NJ 05-08-2004] Mid-Atlantic Meet IV

Postby Jon11582 » Sat May 08, 2004 11:59 pm

See you made it home safely, Thai.

Everyone was real cool at the meet, just like last time. Saw some familiar faces again, and some new ones, and some familar faces in new cars (TRD73's traded in the Camry for a nice new white Solara SE V6 5spd with the gold bling-bling package) Hope the drive wasnt too bad on anyone.

I think car of the show was Paladin06Greg's. Its a shame that the MD/VA crew didnt get to see it. The pics online dont do the car justice at all. Hes also got the nicest muffler tips Ive ever seen. The decals also are done very nicely. His and JoeB's are probably the two nicest ones I know of.

Until next meet... :D

BTW, AC was a good place, I kind of close to between Southern NY and Virginia, and parking wasnt that bad at all ($4 a car in a garage, plenty of spots even on Saturday night) Its right next to the beach too. With summer time comin up, I think its a chill prospect for next meet.

I agree about next meet being at Atlantic City. Margie and I had a great time and as usual enjoy everyones company. Sorry about Md/Va not making it on time. We did leave at 10am but didn't expect traffic to be that bad. :( Like I said at Hooters. You guys had no probs getting down to Md. cause not everyone is trying to go down there. In our case, lots of people trying to get to NY or Atlantic City. Arg! I hate traffic! :x

Again, I had a blast. Another successful Mid Atlantic meet! :D

Yeah, the meet was fun. It was nice to be able to put a face and a solara to some of the people on here. Hell, it was even worth the 10 hours of quality time I got to spend with my car. Until next time...

sleepin2000's a real pioneer. He came out a long way.

New record holder for longest drive out on the east coast as far as I know.

And I think I was the only 5SFE owner there. Someone correct me if Im wrong. I think I was the only 5SFE last time too. Now thats lonely.

Nice pics too Dave. Props to him for bringing his Toyota service technition expertise and showin me how to take off my wind deflector :D

Dave and I passed a Caddy with HUGE spinners (must have been 20") and limo tint on the way down. Then pulling into Cherry hill mall, I passed some old guy with his windows down in some boxy red old car with something like 3" spinners. He cut in between Dave and I and was confused as hell and kept changing lanes so I couldnt get around him to pull into the mall.

On another note, i didnt see a single Solara going there or coming back home.

Rizal, I thought your car was in the operating room.? I really missed being there, seeing you guys again and meeting new people. We had visitors from out of town and I really needed to be there. It was a nice visit but I gotta admit, my mind frequently drifted north thinking of you guys and I'd rather be there! Next time... -JoeB
