howdy. sorry - i registered last wek but did not post an intro yet.

im a late twenties first time import owner. i have always had old musclecars as my daily drivers until very recently. sold my 65 mustang and got a 99 solara as my wife liked the car.

originally she wanted a 4-banger civic hatchback, but that was asking too much from me, i can take little cars with no oomph or feel for the road.

as for the solara, i got a heck of a deal. got it fo 11k, with 35k miles on it. its a black sle v6 model, and it in immaculate condition (garaged by old lady...)

so far i have put chrome 17" 2-piece ssr's and nitto z-rated tires. got it tinted with 3m brand chrome tint, and also put a bad-ass viper alarm in it with EXTRA sirens (dman, i set it off accidentally and i stilll hear my ears ringin!)

anyway, livin in hawaii, just got our first place, this has been our new car for only three weeks, but we love it. im looking to put a dual g-reddy exhaust, aem intake and lower it with tien ss coilovers int he next year. after that, all i want to really do to it is a nice sound package and possibly a turbo / super package.

hi all!

i sold it because my wife was afraid to drive the mustang - too much power for her. it also allowed us to keep a bit more cash on hand after buying the solara for our move to our new place.
