LCD touch screen with separate mounted headunit

is it possible to have an LCD screen replace the double DIN, and have a headunit mounted where the ashtray is?

i'm sure the answer is yes. but what i want to know is, can i control the headunit via the touch screen LCD? or will it just be a screen?

i think it will be only a screen, unless you separate a touchscreen from the cd player/brain.

nah, actually i talked to my friend last night, and basically told me that it would be less of a headache to just purchase an all-in-one unit. (DVD, CD, and FM tuner)

the new pioneer unit is probably the best one out there right now a friend who installs stuf just put in one..he said it runs about 2g's.
