upgrading the system

Postby Callen » Tue Apr 20, 2004 11:56 pm

I'm upgrading my system slowly with different brands as of not to get bored with the best right away. Right now I have audiobahn setup of a 400 watt sub amp, 400 watt sub, and 240 watt 4-channel amp. The front speakers are stock components running off the amp, (my polk 6x9's are broke...)

I plan to get 6x9's with good mid-bass in the back (but also be 3-way for people in the back to enjoy). And I guess my 6.5 components will just be good sound quality (with no bass going to them).

For the 6x9's I'm thinking of going with infinity for the bigger woofer, but what do you guys think about for the fronts (from alpine, focal, mb quart, jl, or infinity)?

I don't understand why you would want comps w/ a big woofer if your going to cut the bass from them. My suggestion from what you listed would either be some focal polyglass or MB Quart RSC series comps. If you really want a good woofer from your comps (usualy for people that dont have subs) alpine type R comps have a great woofer.
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.
