tire pressure

Postby michaels artic frost » Tue Apr 13, 2004 10:35 am

I got the stupid tire pressure light again. What's up with this? Tire pressure for all four tires and spare are the same. I'm getting real annoyed with resetting every few days. I would just prefer not have the stupid thing and have a flat...lol...jk.

I agree with Weedo.

"Very un-Toyota like. I mean, a problem, with a Toyota, isn't that unheard of????"

Any suggestions, peeps?

I was in for service a couple of weeks ago and the service tech there told me the proper pressure for the Bridgeston Turanza's was 30 psi. I reset the monitor following the instructions on Pg 137 of the owner's manual and I haven't had any issues since. The change in pressure due to significant temprature change(up here anyway) is enough to trigger the warning. If you set the computer at a low enough pressure it won't come on unless it gets really low. May be worth a try. The car seems to handle a bit better with a bit less pressure. I had them at 38 Psi.
