my wife started calling me pinkie the other day after following me from the dealer ... she let this go on for the whole weekend and I was just about to snap ( thinking it was a UN MAN-LY reference ) when she told me my 3rd brake lite looks pink when I brake??? I was relieved thats what she meant but know am pissed... I cant drive with a pink brake light!!!

I made her drive it to prove it to me and sure as crap...its pink :x

anyone else have this problem???

how can I solve this????

 that's funny. I've only seen pink brakes on old cars and thought that it's because of their deteriorating light covers or bulbs.

I hear its really hard to get into the housing on the Gen2s

On the Gen1's, the 3rd brake light in Solaras without spoilers was a clear T16, which actually has the same base as a 194 bulb. 194's commonly come in red at Autozone, Pepboys, etc for about $3 for a pair. If you can get to the housing, and it is a T16, try swaping it out for a red #194...Might not be as bright since the T16 is a bigger bulb, but itll surely be red and not pink. I have no idea if Gen2s still use T16s though.
