A little hard to tell, can you take a side shot of your car? That will be a better pic to determine. And how much and where was your install?

I'll tell you what, that car looks stock. If that is the drop you get with this particular spring set up, I would go with another brand. I used to own ground control with the adjustable coilovers on my 3000GT. This thing was slammed. Just some tips for driving a slammed car: When driving never approach any incline or decline straight on, like a driveway for instance. You will be guaranteed to do damage to the ground effects or scrap them. When ascending and descending, to avoid bottoming out, always place one wheel on the ground at a time first by approaching the slope SLOWLY at a diagonal angle. This will insure that either the front right/left depending on which way you are turning will hit the slope and then the other front wheel. The rear of the car will follow the front so contine to move through it slowly until all 4 wheels are planted again. You do this, you can drive almost anywhere with a slammed car. It will take a while to get used to, but once mastered, you will appreciate the advice the next time you approach that sloping driveway at Pep Boys.

I'm not looking for it to be dropped to low .I really only want to get rid of the space between the tire and car . Theres just to much of a gap there . Thanks for the advice though I will comit that to memory to insure I never mess up the ground effects

If u want to get less wheel gap then u'll need to drop the car low
But it depends on the kind of roads u drive on...I mostly drive on the highway and my local roads aren't bad, so I'm not too worried about my kit.

I was thinking about lowering. My friend got the TRD springs and the drop looks pretty nice even with the stock rims/tires. However, the ride between his SLEv6 and mine is like night and day. His is very rough unless you're on smooth pavement. On bad pavement, the ride is punishing and you can here all the creeks and rattles in the car.

After that experience I decided to keep the stock setup.

The octane front bumper's lowest part is ~4 in. from the ground.
The trd side skirt's lowest part which is closest to the front wheel well is ~3.3 in. from the ground.

Hhhmmm.... I was about to get TRD lowering springs along with 18s and now this is giving me second thoughts about the rough ride. Anyone else have additional comments to add to this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

cosmicstarr : Did he have a sport or an SLE also. Reason I ask is because the sport model has a harsh ride compared to the SLE without changing the springs . SO i'm trying to make sure your feeling the diffeence in the springs and not just and sle model with trd springs

Thanks

Ahhh yes sorry I missed that .Well that explains why he thought the ride was such a major change . I'm curious what the change between the sport and the sport with trd springs would be I heard it's minor if any in ride quality
