To answer the question, the eye does have a limit, and I believe the equivalent FPS is somewhere around 40-60. As an example: In video games, when the frame rate falls low, the game becomes choppy, motions are no longer fluid. That's why in video games, having over 60 FPS is a big deal, it's then that the animation appears fluid, with no chop. BTW, sweet videos.
