Simply Slick. How much did all of this cost you? I had a similar idea but never really put the time into it.

BTW, what happened to your hazard switch? It's missing in a few pics and shows up in others :D

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys. It means a lot to me, a DIY guy.

Akui,
Here is the total cost that I couldn't remember so far. Of course, if you have some harddrive, rams laying around, it could help. And I could also go without the DVD/VCD/MP3 head unit by having a indash crossover to control the computer's sound, but the head unit is there to help the short distance trip without having to boot/reboot the computer.
For the harard switch, I took the pic before putting everything together. Nothing is missing though. :-)

Well, here is the cost: (I mostly bought them from Ebay), the heavy cost is the screen, the headunit, GPS, OBD tool. The computer itsefl is relatively cheap.

Componnet Cost

Motherboard $100
30 gig 7200 harddrive $60
512 mb ram $60
slim cd-rom $25
IDE adapter 4 cd-rom $10
120 watt power supply $60
4 port USB hub $12
7" Touchsreen sreen $240
DVD/VCD/MP3 headunit $220
Deluo GPS USB $80
OBD-2 scan tool $120
Gyration wireless keyboard/mouse $80
Wiring/power buttons, and other $30

Total: $1097
Window XP already had
MediaCar interface: free download from other MP3car member.
MS Mappoint 04 free after rebate of last black Friday sale after Thanksgiving.

The countless hours of planning, measuring, researching, cursing..:-), testing, parting, putting thing together, applying bondo, sanding, painting, messing up thing , installing: 1 million dollars.

The "WOW" factor from friends and other after seeing & viewing my completed carputer: PRICELESS.

For everything else, there is always a SOLARA.
