plans for system

here is my plan for my system. need opinion fast.
2 - Alpine Type R 12" Subwoofers
1 - JBL Power Series BP600.1 600w x 1 AMP
1 - 4 guage wiring kit

1- MTA high performance Capacitor 1 FARAD, 20 VDC, 95 Degrees C ± 10 %
and a box.

this system costs about 450.
what else do i need to run it from my solara? how will the set up go?

or should i go with 2 12" kappa perfects
1 jbl bp1200.2 amp those two alone are about 450. and i would also need a cap, wires and box. so this would cost about 600.

another choice: tba (two 12" polk momos 1 Phoenix Gold 1500 watt class D momo amp, don't know the price) so opinions?

Well if you don't have a head unit you'll need a line converter or a new head unit. You'll need additional wiring and ring connectors to hook the cap up. Other than that, nothing, really.

you need a cap. if you can you should give the type R's a little more power. a thousand watts for the pair would be nice.

He already listed a cap, and doubt he actually needs it. Your primary list sounds nice, Alpine type Rs are good subs, and you can go w/ more power. I forget what they're rated (300wrms?) but they can handle around 600wrms ea. Your secondary list however... Polk subs are OK (I would go w/ Alpine myself) and the Phoenix Gold Amp you listed, I'm guessing the Octane R? Thats the only Phoenix Gold line that offers a 1500w Class D I think, anyway, it would most likely run you well over your entire budget, knowing Phoenix Gold.

You absolutely can, but if you want more power it's usualy cheaper to just get one bigger amp, I dont know what your budget is, but you can find a HiFonics BX1000D on e-bay for just over $200 and its a great amp, 1000wrms.

I can probably get you a good deal on a Concept 1200 watt Class D, or 2400 watts if you want. New in box, if you're interested I can find out.

Well.. make sure you run the RCAs and power down opposite sides of the car. If you search there is a post somewhere with pictures of where some people ran their wires. When you're connecting the ground make sure to scrape away the paint on the frame to get a good connection. Other than that the hardest part is tearing everything apart and running it through. If you want some pictures/instructions I might be able to put something together.

I'm not sure what you mean by "bridging" the voice coils. You have two choices: parallel the coils, or run them in series. Running them parallel will halve the resistance (two 4ohm coils would result in 2ohms if run in parallel). Running them in series will double the resistance (two 4 ohm coils would result in 8 ohms if run in series). The amp is probably 2ohm stable, so run them parallel (just run both sets of speaker wires into the same output terminals).
