Is that a jersey plate?

We got some crazy snow a few days ago (6+ inches). One of my friends from school told me that her brother's 04 solara got messed up on wednesday morning when he left for work at 8:30AM. I remember her tellin me the wheel was bent in, headlamp was broken, and didnt start anymore.

Wonder if thats his car...
You got the actual cardomain site where these came from?

If thats his, its only 600 mi.'s old...

i dont think they plowed yet at 830
I didnt get all the details, but it think it had something to do with black ice and people in front of him losing control.

I found the page. I dont know if thats his name, but I think thats it, unless two Jersey Gen2 Sols from the same town got heavy front end damage lately. Everything else checks out. Its a small world.

My work had delayed opening that day (Only 1 hour later at 10AM though), and she told me that right before I was going to leave for work.
I asked if he was ok, and she made it sound like a rough fender bender at first, so I tried to do the good solaraguy thing and tried to ask what was wrong so I could find parts for him. Then she told me the car got some heavy front end damage and was basically unusuable. I took one look outside, still saw a good dusting on the road, and just called out of work until after lunch, after I shoveled everything and they came and plowed my street one more time. One Solara in an accident that day is enough.

Oh yea, her brothers fine, he aint hurt or anything.

Plows here arent too bad, but they dont come early enough. Reminds me of this one news clip i saw last week where they were plowing the streets and some guy on the sidewalk gets leveled by a wave of snow, followed by another wave from another plow behind it. Dude was walkin one moment and then he dissapeared. Heh...anyways...

Here in North Jersey, they just shlop a whole bunch of salt on the roads before the snow comes, because obviously thats all you need to get rid of 6-8 inches of snow. When they roll outta bed the next morning and realize the roads are still bad, they give the plows a call. Some of these smaller highways are still pure white. I got a nice salt racing stripe thing going on from my ride down to work this morning. I bet my paints loving that.

I'ma ask what the repair bills like on the wreck sometime. (anybody wanna take any guesses?)

hey guys... how's everyone..
well i just joined this site cus it looks like a cool place where we can exchange ideas about our solara's...
On another note, I am the unfortuante owner of the smashed headlight, banana-peeled fender red solara. :-? :(
pretty much you guys seem to know what happened, i just had some bad luck that day with the snow! thats what i get for being responsible and tryin to make it to work on such a day. but i learned my lesson, next time i'll listen to mom n stay home n call out of work!!! lol
well i dont know how much the repair will cost, or how long they will take.
Doesnt matter to me as long as they bring her back to life, looking n riding good. but i'll let u know..

i got some other pics at this site. web.njit.edu/~mog1281/solara

hope you gusy dont get nightmares...
later.
