Making my own box

Postby Grazi07 » Fri Jan 02, 2004 6:58 pm

Happy New Year! Building my box this weekend, and have a question/need an opinion. The spec sheet that came with the subs says that the volume of the box is equal to 1.25 cubic feet, but in parentheses below says (all sides lined with 1-inch fiberglass or fiberfill). Do you think that the 1.25 cubic feet measurement accounts for that interior loss?

You don't need to use fiberfill if you make the box the right size. Only when space is limited that you would use it to mimic a larger box for the sub to work in.

Thanks Luc.... the box is well underway, nothing fancy, just a straightaway sealed cube. Hopefully I'll get some pics up when its finished.
