Help with Alpine CDA-9815

Alright well I did the time correction for my speakers and downloaded the settings into my headunit. Sounds much better and even, I didn't think a delay of a millisecond or 2 would do much, but it does. I notice now with the time correction set the media expander doesn't seem to affect the sound as much on some music.

When I downloaded the new settings to my hu, it set the bass focus also based upon the time correction values. Should I just leave these numbers alone or how could I go about tuning them.

Last question.. are there any sources for getting parametric equalizer settings? It comes with rock, pop, and news presets, but I'm not experienced enough to really tune the eq well. I'll probably end up playing with it until it sounds good, but other peoples examples would help.

I got a tone test program from http://www.esser.u-net.com/ttg.htm . I made test tones for all the different settings in my crossover and tried em. The rears sounded good at 40, but I need to go somewhere that I can turn them up more so that I can see where they start to distort.

the eq settings are just your basic bass mid and treble, playing around with that should be your last settings. once everything is tuned correct, at flat response, then you can tweek the bass and so on to help out certain songs

G I am late to this topic! I am about to get the CDA-9813 model and they recommend power directly from the battery with a 10-gauge power line. The reason is so that the internal amp can give its full potential of RMS power. I noticed you said that your installers did not do that? That can make a difference.. I can't wait to get mine! I'm getting Alpine components for the front and 6x9s for the back.
