New Guys System(Tell me what ya think)

Hey guys, new to the board, this is my first post. Check my sig for my cars details. Only had the 'lara for a few months, traded my 02 dakota in for it (4.7v8 5 speed :( torque!) Just added the audio stuff, next up is a head unit (most likely the new panasonic screen CQ-VAD9300U, what do u guys think? The visonik amp has really impressed me, 1100 watts rms at 1 ohm mono is pretty good for less than 200 bucks, even if it does come up a little shy of that. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Great Forum!

sounds good even tho im not that familiar with phoenix and visionik stuff. one thing tho are the equipment you're using stable down to 1 or half an ohm? cuz if it's not you're gonna have overheating poblems or you might blow something out.

Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Visonik

Postby GearJammer » Tue Dec 23, 2003 1:27 pm

Visoniks HC series amps are high current and are stable down to .5 ohm stereo, which is what im running(1 ohm mono). The amp is like 250x2 at 4 ohms stereo, but its 1100x1(rms) at 1 ohm mono....cool lol no overheating probs at all, but i havent really pushed it hard for a long period of time, but the music i listen to is really bass heavy(Triple 6 and Project Pat mostly)and i usually have the remote gain turned down to about halfway. I really need to get a smaller box, the box i have is 2.45 cubes per sub and PG says I only need 1.75 but oh well it hits really deep and they are handling the power nicely, i might just be satisfied with it as is and look towards the video system. If anyone has any opinion on visonik stuff please let me know...
