Hello fellow forum members, my name is Katherine. I'm from Chandler, AZ and I bought my Solara 3 weeks ago. It is a 2002 and it only had 5900 miles on it when I bought it, now it's almost at 7000. I like this car and intend on making some minor modifications to it. For starters, some carbon fiber altezzas, tinted windows, lowering springs and eventually some rims. As far as anything under the hood, I don't think I'll be messing with, I don't want to break anything that I don't know how to fix. I already bought some TRD floormats off ebay because (hard to believe) the car didn't have any when I bought it. My car is Silver with Black (aka dark gray) Interior. I'm also a member of http://www.bstuff.com/ because I used to drive a 95 Beretta Z26, but it kept breaking down all the time and no one could figure out what was wrong with it so I traded it in for my wonderful new 02 Toyota Solara SE. :D

Welcome to the boards. The CF Altezzas are allright, just remember to seal them up good :), and watch out for the curse of the silver Solara!

Is your car a 1MZ or a 2AZ?
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

So I have you to blame for my minor rear end mishap this weekend. Nothing serious, so now I got that over with--no more. About sealing the taillights, thanx for the input. My car is an automatic. And I don't know what 1MZ or 2AZ is?

OMG that took like a week, maybe Toyota should issue a TSB on Silver Paint. Just recall all the Silver Solaras and replace them with another color :D. Anyway, glad you're allright. Good luck with your car.

Go for it, that is not something I plan on doing anytime soon. "Drop in a supercharger..." It just sounds soooo easy doesn't it.
