did a search, but nothing really comes up. looking for a brighter reverse light. i believe the socket is for a 921 bulb. sounds like the factory wattage is 20 watts. has anyone upgrade this to a brighter setup with more output?

I have hids for my reverse lights. I used a bulb size 880 . The hid bulb will fit in the taillight when u remove the oem clip. I had some problems with flickering so I used a hid ground harness to steady the power and reduce flickering

^^ Will the HIDs burn the housing if they're kept on for too long?

How did you wire in the ballasts? I'm curious, I might try this. The reverse lights on my Solara are useless...

Pull the plug for your reverse light (there should be 2wires +/-) Use a test light or meter to see which wire is the positive. Cut it and connect it to your hid harness on the wire your stock lights would normally plug into. Use a self tap screw and ground the black wire on harness to the frame somewhere. Run the +12v red wire to the battery . I dont think it will work without the hid ground harness. I hope this helps
