i think there are other options, but unfortunately some of the forum members wont help anyone out, i recently asked someone about replacement bulbs that they had on their car and recieved no reply, its sad really, i thought that was one of the main reasons for this forum. but i guess some people only use it to sell things. I did buy some of the SilverStar Ultra low beam bulbs for my car and they are definitely whiter than what i had in there.

i was thinking of putting hid's in my car but decided to just do silverstar ultra's for both low and high beams and i LOVE them, they wont last a super long time but they're really white and not quite as blinding as hid's.

I bought a 3-pack of 12 SMD LED panels for $21 off eBay. That's a damn good price, IMO.

WOW I was about to post up the same questions too!
and have been contemplating for the longest time!

so after weeks from research it boiled down to this from http://www.superbrightleds.com
DOME/ MAP lights:
Image

plans: use the 6led festoon for dome lights and 3 led for map lights
dilemma: I don't know if 6 high intensity leds may be too bright... if so then just use the 3 leds for both dome and map lights
dilemma #2: using SBL's beta vehicle bulb finder, they recommend the size 4210, but after measuring the oem bulb i came to the conclusion that 3710 will be a better fit from the measurement blueprints they provide.
so I don't know which size I should buy. but I will remeasure when I find the time and update this.

LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS:

choice #1:
Image
single led beam

or
choice #2:
Image
4 leds beam

dilemma: Don't know which ones will give me enough light to see in the dark but nothing over powering.
i'm leaning more towards the 4 led one though.

as for fog lights it's size 9006
and I got mine from http://www.ddmtuning.com great service with lifetime warranty. planning on blowing up my 3k bulb and getting 6ks fo free!!

but yeah I have accumulated a ton of links regarding hids and leds and if you have any more question pm me or post it here and I will try to the best of my ability to help out a fellow member! :D

I went with surface mount devices led. Or SMD LED for short. From ebay, like less than 99cents and free shipping. Also got 2 strings of smd led's. I think each string has 30 led's. Those 2 strings are in my trunk, lights up really well.

If I was to go with a more reputable seller, I'd go with www.dealextreme.com

Thats so sick! I have to get a those dome and map lights now! BTW I bought HID from DDM tuning. I dont know if I am the happiest with them but not too many complaints. I ordered the 8000k and they really arent that blue at all... dont know if they sent me the wrong ones or if that is really what they look like (ps my avatar is a little photoshopped to make the look more blue). Also yesterday the drivers side headlight went out and I had to drive through the night with only a headlight. Luckily my fogs are pretty bright. Strange thing is this morning i went to check and both seem to be working. it was in the sunlight tho so im not 100% sure. Might be some faulty wiring tho.
