hmm ok... where do you mean exactly? is it where the base of the steering wheel meets the kick panels, or do u you mean all the way underneath there, above the pedals

Right above the above the pedals. Between the steering column and where the key goes in. If you get under there with a light follow the wires from the brain's harness (by the kick panel) up to where they go around the steering column. You should be able to see where they are tied in. They more than likely used those cheap tie-in connectors that you press in with pliers. Thats how mine is hooked up & its a factory set-up.

btw just wondering what is Carputer? "2000 SE V6 MT w/ Carputer"

mystery solved! it was the clutch switch. i had the two leads jumped with a wire to bypass the clutch for the remote start, guess it just came loose.

haha well its not that simple! i had a remote starter installed many many years ago and so the switch was rigged. it was a bit harder to tell if something was wrong. especially since it would work normally for an entire year in between problems. nevertheless, thanks for the tip and im glad its solved!
