Cold air intake side effects?

Hey all,
A few weeks ago, my '99 solara SLE (127k miles) started making a hissing noise every time the brake pedal is pressed. It sounds like it's coming from the power brake booster area.
The only reason I think it could be related to the intake is because I added a cold air extension to my injen SRI the day before the hissing started. As far as I know, all the two have in common is air flow.
Any troubleshooting tips? The coincidence is hard to ignore and I'd really love to avoid a whole new booster if that's not the problem.
