Interior mods?

Interior mods?

Postby mig0s » Sun Feb 06, 2011 11:32 pm

Our gen1's are a decade old. As much as I love the comfortable and simple interior, I think it is really outdated. Right now my wallet is tight like a virgin becase I'm not working cuz of my first year in College. But as soon as spring comes, I'll start working again and the first thing i'll buy is a double din touch screen dvd/cd player.

I'm just wondering what other interior mods can be stylish, cool and useful? What do you guys got for your interior?

nice! DD's FTW! i have a double din, led's in the cup holders, glove box handle, door side storage area, foot area, and ash tray handle cut out. was thinking of eventually changing the cigarette lighter ring and air con control colours to white or blue and also driver side lock ring colour.

maybe a full length side to side rear view mirror

was also thinking of changing the interior light in head liner to LED, and adding more leds under the seats for people sitting in the back, i'll eventually get around to it.

The biggest thing i wish i could do is change my entire interior to Black including the pillars and head liner. May look into it though...

good luck on your quest lol, hope i helped give you some ideas

use this guide to help you!
since my head unit is blue and red I'm gonna stick with that theme...

my gauge is gonna be blue and my turning signal is gonna be red, and then cool blue for the map, dome, trunk, and license plate.
also if your interior is black, then I would recommending vinyling or painting your trims silver to make it more modern lookin :D

Some leds might be cool but I think it makes the car rice and I don't like to have too much interior lights at night. You guys got any other mods excepts leds? lol

I have a Pionner double din I love one of the best mods I've ever done on my solara in my opinion :) Also I didn't use L.E.D.'s for my interior lights, i used cathode tubes i found on omuniz.com way more bright than l.e.d's in my opinion again! Here's some pics!

Your best solution is to buy a newer Lexus if you want a nicer, more modern interior. :P

i've seen pics where others have painted the woodgrain peices black or even an put an aluminum color on them which i think may look more modern, but i'm sticking with the woodgrain in my ride.

Where have you guys bought your led lights for the dome/license plate? I'm looking for some good quality ones that wont die in after a couple months.
