Okay guys im new to the forum and by most would be considered a noob in every sense of the word-and rightfully so. Thats why i will ask the stupid question for this thread. When adding a CAI or Short ram for that matter, i know for the most part people say that its really just a sound upgrade. I realize compared to most "performance" upgrades it is completely overshadowed as far as any added power, efficiency or anything of the like. Im quite confident that you certainly don't get anywhere near most of the manufacturer's claims. However, in yalls experience and just from word of mouth from other users, would you say there is any performance increase at all. Im guessing if so its not noticeable and maybe just would show up on a dyno or something? Is there any benefit at all besides the great sound? Im just looking for real world answers here, i understand its not a secret magic h.p booster. Im just wandering what the actual benefits are, if any in yalls experience, and what they really are not what the sales hype-up description says it does. Thanks for everyones input, and Happy Mardi Gras to all y'all.
Anyone with kids or who just wants some beads or other "throws" ive got a few trashbags full ill be happy to ship them to anyone, they are common place here but i met a couple from Virginia at the O'Reileys here a few days ago after riding in a parade and they saw the beads and offered to pay for the ones around my neck, i gave them a few gross of pearls free that i never threw during the parade.
