Since I cant SC(for now T_T...), I'm gonna do a little N/A tuning such as putting some OBX headers(along with the TRD muffler) and remapping.

I'm not sure about where it says "THIS DELETES THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER" on the OBX header details on ebay. Can you use the stock cat on the new headers? Aside from remapping the ECU and such what else can i do to squeeze some more power from the good ol' 1MZFE?

other things you could do is new cams, from a 2mz or 3vz, (i think i got those right) talk to gabe (trd4life) hes the local guru that has a business doing these things! jim's fuel mod, and some smaller things to make the car more efficient but without rebuilding the engine or force induction there isnt much more hp to be made. next things is handling! so rsb's and coilovers should be on your wish list

Haha. Before I went S/C, I loved the sound of my Injen. It didn't sound like an angry cat, it sounded like a flippin bear.

To use the stock cat (or any cat) you'd have to cut the y-pipe and weld it on, or get a test pipe made. But you wouldn't want to use the stock cat anyways, because the OBX Y-pipe is larger in diameter, so you'd want a larger cat to go with it.

^^^ hes right and if you do OBX headers go with a high flow cat, it may throw you some cel's and might have to fake an o'2 censor or relocate it, but with a remapping/tune you might be able to do that easier. a new cat back would be good as well, since the trd muffler is only mid pipe back, you may want to get a new mid pipe or a trd or megan cat back, and voila you got your self a brand new exhaust system! with a little more power and a lot noisier! in a good way! :)

Then I goes back to supercharging...*sigh*...I wanna SC or Turbo sooo much. I'd get a turbo most preferrably but SCing is too prominent on Solaras. Cant we turbo ours?

But SCing is recommended more or less. Correct?

I'm looking at some TRD mufflers online and i came across 3 possible candidates. I'm not sure about the two i found. This one has a part number PTR19-33970-04 which is for 1990s to 2000 V6 Camry. And another one has PTR06-06040-25 possibly for 2.0 Solaras.

well thats only because the TRD supercharger is bolt on, in a turbo you'd have to do everything custom. It all depends on how much you want to spend, and how much time your willing to put in. Any engine can be turbo'd not all engines can be sc, well with alot of custom work they can. but ours already has a base for the sc so its easier. its all apple and oranges, time, money and preference!
