Yet another Headlight thread........

Yet another Headlight thread........

Postby SolAraB » Fri Jun 18, 2010 8:58 pm

Well it's been a while since i posted up on here, been working on an SC300 that i bought a few months back, but i have been having the most annoying issue with my headlight. My passenger side headlight has been acting up.

I have HIDs so first after a little investigating i changed the ballast, it worked for about 6 hours and then boom not working again. Then i changed my light bulb still wouldn't come on.

So today i messed around a little more and now i know that the bulb works, the ballast works, but it wont fire up on the passenger side. High beam works fine but low beam will not work!

I also re-installed a regular halogen bulb........same problem..........low beam doesnt work and high beam does. I even checked the fuses..... I am stumped..........someone , anyone please help!!

check all your wiring to see if you have a short or something is exposed or crushed.

Yeah after what you explained. It seems you may have a short somewhere along the wiring.

I guess i'll have to trace the wiring, i thought maybe it could be where the wires actually enter the black plastic connector that plugs into the bulb. BTW thanks a lot for the replies guys, i will let you guys know what happens..........
