I'm considering doing the same thing. It seems like a simple solution. :D

well i did my struts with different springs! handles so much better now, i can take turns at a good amount of speed. i don't feel like im driving a Honda anymore lol because i used to bounce all over the place and when i would hit a nice pot hole the car would bottom out.

Another thing i did was change all of the studs on the rear of the car, i stripped two off of each side so i said f*ck it might as well change all of them.

so now the car is sitting with good struts and springs in the rear and new studs :D im a happy camper!

now im going to take it up to the canyon and see what kind of handling i get up there compared to the other times.

Hey this sounds interesting... Any pics of exactly where you are cutting the holes..

I have a 2000 SLE V6 getting ready to do the struts, probably just use Quick Struts , but a little trick like this to save from removing all the interior stuff would really be worth knowing..

my first post here so be gentle...
