Ran into one stupid problem

Ran into one stupid problem

Postby ToyoSolV6 » Thu Jun 03, 2010 10:00 pm

Ok fellas i dont know if any of you have ran into this problem before but i decided to change my rear struts today, but most of you know that when you do the rear struts/springs you have to remove basically the whole car lol.

so my problem is that one of my rear seats wouldnt come down. The latch you pull up on the top of the seat i guess is messed up because it goes up but the seat is still locked and wont budge. Now i dont know what to do in order for me to pull the seat down because i have to remove it.

any help guys?

Are you sure you have the seats unlock... It's kind of weird if both seats won't budge.

Liquid Wrench yo. Make it your best friend. Sometimes stuff gets down there and rusts/locks them in place. Also http://camrystuff.com/index.php?page=Gen4_Manuals

^I don't know if this would help you being its from a Camry and assuming you don't have a Lara one, but maybe there might be some tips in here that could help you....good luck...

one seat does go down the other one doesnt. I think the latch is just not grabbing in order for it to lift up and move the seat.

can you try turning the knob in a clockwise manner? maybe it's like a screw and detached? ?
